about

Addiction is, of course, a serious issue. Often we fail to recognize that there are more serious forms of addiction than simply an addiction to a substance. It seems that the more damaging addictions, such as an addiction to power or material excess, are somehow acceptable. Why should they be? We are all in this together. What affects the one should affect us all. The lyrics of this song are our attempt to help those who don’t understand addiction to get a glimpse of what it is like. But, instead of feeling sorry for the poor drug addicts in the “crack house” down the street, examine closely the things which you yourself find it impossible to live without. Some of the most damaging addictions are hard to recognize because those who engage in them are not treated with the same level of contempt as the average drug addict; and those addicted are unaware that they are in complete denial. That doesn’t make them any less dangerous. What drives you on?

lyrics

You chained me down
You brought me out
I see now there’s no escape
Cuz’ I belong to you now

You love…to lay the whip across my back
A willing victim of your games
You give me all I need to stay between the lines.
You drive me on….on and on.

Your sadistic ways
Appeal to my masochistic tendencies
I love how you punish me
When you make me scream your name

You love…to lay the whip across my back
A willing victim of your games
You give me all I need to stay between the lines.
You drive me on….on and on. Drive me on.

You love…to lay the whip across my back
A willing victim of your games
These chains start to feel like home to me
I was meant to be your slave
You give me all I need to stay between the lines.
You drive me on….on and on.
